Sign in with Discord
Last reviewed 3 September 2026
The sign-in page has a Continue with Discord button. Press it, approve on Discord's page, and you are in — no password to remember.
It does two things at once
Signing in this way also links your Discord account, and linking is what lets the rest work: Professor Buffy recognises you in the server, your rank role lines up with your rank here, and XP earned in chat lands on this account.
If you already have an account with a password
Sign in normally first, then attach Discord from Settings → Connections. Doing it in that order attaches Discord to the account you already have. Doing it the other way round can leave you with two.
"That Discord account is already linked"
A Discord account can only be attached to one TechPlay account. If you see this, that Discord is on another account here — usually one you made earlier and forgot. Tell us the Discord username and we can look.
Battle.net
There is a Battle.net link as well, and it does less: it is there for the WoW character tools, not for signing in.
Unlinking
Disconnecting Discord in Settings is safe as long as you have a password set. If Discord is the only way you have ever signed in, set a password first — otherwise you are removing your own key.
